About Forever Young Therapy Services
Forever Young Therapy Services was founded in 2017 to address the unmet need of increased private Occupational Therapy support in Northwest BC for children and youth. The founder, Tara Young, has a passion and mission to provide support to anyone in need to help them to attain the best quality of life possible.
Occupation is anything one does.. often broken down into self care, productivity and leisure. Hence why the scope of practice of Occupational Therapy is so vast and diverse. This means that any barrier to completing activities or things that are important to a person can be investigated and supported by an Occupational Therapist (OT).
I am a Registered Occupational Therapist in Terrace, BC with experience working with children and youth with a variety of diagnosis or difficulties including Autism Spectrum Disorders, ADHD, Brain Injury, Anxiety, Depression, or undiagnosed behavior or emotional difficulties.
I obtained my Masters in Occupational Therapy from the University of Alberta in 2015. I have a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology Degree from the University of Calgary.
I love travelling and am often on the road to see clients anywhere within Northwest BC. If there is a client in need, I will do my best to travel to their community to provide Occupational Therapy support.
Fun facts:
I love the outdoors and enjoy hiking and camping. Some of my favorite places to visit for work and fun in the area include Prince Rupert, Smithers and Haida Gwaii.
I have a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and love playing basketball.
